Acne and spots are a major source of stress for many millions of people throughout the world. Although acne affects mainly adolescents, 20% of adult women also suffer from the problem. Unfortunately, finishing secondary school doesn’t mean you can say goodbye to acne with it! Hormones are not the only cause for spots -your diet also plays a significant role. 1. Avocado

For those of you who don’t know it, avocado is one of the best fruits for fighting acne and spots. The vitamin E contained in avocado improves the overall appearance of your skin, while its vitamin C content helps with reducing inflammation and hydrating your skin.

2. Peppermint

Peppermint is good for many things, including digestion and stress. Stress being one of the main causes of acne, you can help matters with a large hot cup of peppermint tea.

3. Fennel

Fennel is full of vitamins, antioxidants and minerals, which quite simply make your skin healthier. Fennel seeds in particular are antibacterial, antiseptic and rich in antioxidants. They can be applied to the skin, but it is best to consume them for optimal results.

4. Brazil nuts

The majority of nuts are recommended as part of a healthy diet. Brazil nuts have highly useful properties as they contain selenium, a powerful antioxidant which protects the cells from inflammation, while protecting the skin’s elasticity.
