Cleaning the car -summer torture. The weather is warmer so we decide it’s time to shine up our little Betsy. Except for the fact that even having spent hours cleaning furiously, there are still those hard-to-reach nooks and crannies that give the overall impression of a car that hasn’t really been cleaned. 1/ An old toothbrush
Very useful for cleaning the leather effect texture on the doors of the car. You need a soft brush.
Advice: Soak the brush in soapy water with a little white vinegar before you start cleaning.
2/ Olive oil
Apply very lightly to the dashboard and to leather seats and gently massage in with a sheet of kitchen paper.
Advice: Make sure not to use too much, to avoid making the surfaces too greasy.
3/ Toothpaste
Put some toothpaste on a toothbrush and rub in a circular motion to your headlamps. Leave to work for a few hours before rinsing. This will give your headlamps an extreme-clean appearance.
Advice: Wipe any surplus off with a dry cloth before rinsing.
4/ Steel wool
Comes in very handy for removing flies and insects that are stuck to the car. Be careful not to cause scratches.
5/ A foam brush
This is perfect for cleaning the air vents.
