We used to love playing with magnets as children, pretending to be magicians! However, magnets are very rarely used by adults. Nonetheless, they can be very practical for the clever clogs who know how to use them to their advantage. Here are a few nifty ideas for how to use magnets to make your everyday life that little bit easier.

1) Slip a coin sized magnet into the pocket of your shirt or pants. Attach your nails to the magnet, to have them at your fingertips.

You can also stick a magnet to your drill to magnetise your screws.

2) A magnet stuck to a screwdriver keeps the screw in place and makes it easier to do the job.

3) Glue some magnets to the corner of your desk and attach a small spring (like one from a pen). Use the spring to keep any stray wires or cables in place.
