13 tips for a super successful barbecue!

September can be the time when we finally get some good weather, so don’t stow away the barbecue just yet! If you love making big meals outdoors for your friends and family, this is the article for you! Discover 13 tips for bringing a little touch of originality to your barbecues, or simply to make life easier while you do it.

1/ Make pizza on your barbecue. It changes the taste of the meat and gives the pizza a delicious smoked flavour.

2/ Grill some lemons to make a fantastic lemonade or simply to give your sauces a zing.

3/ If you want to avoid things sticking to the grill, rub it with a half an onion first.

4/ Create a slit in a banana with a knife and slip some marshmallows into the centre. Grill the bananas for a delicious dessert!

5/ If you need help lighting your barbecue, do it easily with tortilla chips! A very effective method.

6/ To avoid having to bring out loads of different bowls and containers, place your vegetables, seasonings and sauces into muffin trays.

7/ To prevent fish from sticking to the grill, place slices of lemon or lime between the grill and the fish.

8/ You can grease the grill or the food with oil, to reduce sticking.

9/ You can also grill eggs on the barbecue in tin foil.  A novelty and a delight!

10/ To season your meat, pop it into a large jar and add your herbs and spices to the same jar. This avoids getting the spices everywhere.

11/ To ensure the meat doesn’t lose its juices, add salt at the end of cooking.

12/ You can also grill fruit, which work equally well as part of main dishes or as desserts!

13/ To clean your grill, you can use tin foil rolled into a ball. It’s not too sharp, and all it needs is a quick rub!
