Has your sock lost its soul mate? It’s sad for the sock, and annoying for you! But this article will prove to you that a deserted sock that is all alone in the world can still be a success in life! Thanks to its shape and material, socks can easily be re-used and recycled. Here are a few ingenious ideas to find a new use for them around the house…… which rather than warming your feet, might just warm your heart!
1) Fill them to make a soothing bean bag
2) Make the most of your expensive creams: apply them generously to your hands or feet and put a sock over them at night.
3) Fill the sock with rice. For aches and pains, you can pop it in the microwave and apply it to the source of pain. It can also act as a hot-water bottle.

You can alternatively pop it in the freezer to have the opposite effect, and cool you down on those hot summer nights.
4) Choose your favourite essential oil and add a generous few drops to a sock. Pop it into another sock (to avoid staining) and add it to your dryer. A natural fragrance guaranteed!
5) Use them to help you move furniture without damaging the floors. Ideal for those who like to change things up regularly!
6) Put them on the end of a mop or brush to remove hard-to-reach spider webs.
7) The’re great to replace wipes for your floor mop (and very economical).
8) Use them for wrapping objects for moving house. They could also be perfect for wrapping Christmas decorations or golf clubs.
9) Is your toddler on the move? Use single socks to protect their knees and elbows.
You can also keep their knees clean when they are on the move in the garden, and avoid the worst of the dirt.
10) Use single socks as shoe coverings, placing them over your shoes while you are painting.
11) Fill them with pot-pourri or dried lavender and use your single socks to add a nice fragrance to your presses.
