Why do we need a magic cure? Because even if it’s not a major part of our bodies, a toothache can be extremely painful and prevent us from eating as normal. And all you need is the dentist to be over-booked, when you really need him to take care of your cavity, abscess or gum disease. While waiting for him to take care of your aching mouth, here are a few tips that could give you some relief. And while you’re waiting, we wish you good luck!
1) Cloves
Cloves are an antiseptic and an analgesic at the same time. Something for everyone! You can simply place the entire clove on the offending tooth, and gently chew on it. It is also great in a mouthwash.
2) Mouthwashes

And speaking of mouthwashes, there are plenty that you can make yourself and use for gargling. Try to use them twice a day for a marked improvement.
Vinegar mouthwash: Dilute a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar in a glass of lukewarm water.
Salt water mouthwash: Add a teaspoon of salt to a glass of lukewarm water and mix well.
Nettle mouthwash: A nettle infusion is perfect for gargling.
3) Ice packs
This works wonders for a truly raging toothache. Cover an ice pack with a cloth and apply it to the affected side of your mouth, to soothe the pain.
4) Garlic
The allicin compound found in garlic has antibiotic effects which fight infection. You can also rub a clove of garlic onto your gums and teeth.
