5 remedies that do wonders when you have a cold

Temperatures are changing quickly and your nose is running. Colds are not complicated to treat but they may last a long time and be annoying. Grannies swear only by these 5 incredible remedies. Try them out!

1) Salted water

It hydrates the nasal mucous membrane. You could use an empty spray, water and a little bit of salt. Spray a small amount of product in each nostril and blow your nose. Repeat several times a day.

2) Inhalations

It helps to decongest the nose. In a bowl filled with boiling water add a few drops of eucalyptus essential oils. Cover your head with a towel and take a deep breath. You can do that for 5 or 10 min and repeat 3 times per day.

3) Cut an onion in half!

This isn’t a well-known remedy and yet it is so good and so easy to do! Cut your onion and leave it next to you on your bedside table. Don’t forget to use onions in as much recipes as possible to benefit from its beneficial effects.

4) Thyme infusion

Prepare an infusion with thyme, honey and lemon juice. This remedy is very antiseptic and antiviral. It will also help you to sleep more soundly.

5) An infusion with a tablespoon of ginger or two teaspoons of elder flowers

Leave it to brew for 10 minutes and drink.
