5) A herbal tea to warm your bones!
Echinacea is ideal for fighting flu. It is in fact an immuno-stimulant which promotes healing in the case of flu or cold.
To prepare your echinacea tea, boil 150 mls of water, which you then add to half a spoon of chopped or grated echinacea root. Cover the tea for a quarter of an hour and strain it. Drink 4 cups per day between meals until you feel better.
6) Start the day with vitamin C rich fruits

This is the best technique for starting the day when you are sick (especially when you are suffering from flu). Why? Because it helps the body to better defend itself from infections, and it also helps with fatigue or muscle pains.
Here is a list of fruits, going from the highest vitamin C content to the lowest: blackcurrants, kiwis, lemons, strawberries, papayas, oranges, clementines, pineapples, grapefruit, redcurrants, and passionfruit.
7) Keep ravintsara essential oil near to hand
Ravintsara is indispensable in the case of viruses (and thus in the case of flu). It both stimulates and protects the immune system.
We strongly recommend that you rub 2-3 drops to the insides of your wrists 3 or 4 times a day for 3 days.
Remember to take care with essential oils. They should not be used by pregnant or breastfeeding women, or on children. In the case of any doubt, ask the advice of your doctor.
