An anti-blemish roll-on to apply from the get go

As soon as a spot rears its ugly head, it signals the start of a complicated battle, in which we pull out all the stops and brandish our best products (which are sometimes home-made due to economic constraints). But if there’s one thing that works well for spots, it’s locally applied treatments that dry them out and get rid of them as soon as they appear. That’s exactly what you will find in this article, proposing a mixture for a natural and effective roll-on treatment.

Find more details here about the effects of each of the ingredients (organic if possible):

  • Nigella oil: anti-inflammatory and anti-infectious, it promotes healing while nourishing and regenerating the skin.
  • Tea tree essential oi: anti-bacterial and purifying; a classic spot-fighting ingredient.
  • Fine lavender essential oil: microbicide and bactericide, it also promotes skin healing.
  • Lemon essential oil: antiseptic. Caution: lemon oil is photosensitive and thus sun exposure should be avoided after application.
  • Vitamin E: prevents the oils from going off.

What you need:

  • 4.8 ml nigella oil (hazelnut oil can also be used to replace this if you can’t get your hands on it)
  • 63 drops of tea tree essential oil
  • 88 drops of fine lavender essential oil
  • 25 drops of lemon essential oil
  • 1 drop of vitamin E
  • A clean 10 ml roll-on container
  • Optional (but recommended): gloves, a pipette, a funnel

Method:

1) Pour the nigella oil into a container.

2) Add the first essential oil and mix it.

3) Continue to add the ingredients one by one, mixing each time you add an oil.

4) Once everything is mixed well, transfer it into the roll-on container and seal it well.

5) Roll on a little of the mixture as soon as you notice an imperfection appearing, or when you feel one coming on. Apply it as many times as you like.
