We always put it off but at some point we have to wash our duvet. Here are a few tips on how to do it easily:
- Check that the drum in your machine is adapted. A 5kg machine drum is big enough for a duvet that is 140 x 200cm. If your duvet is 200 x 200cm you will need a 7kg machine. Anything larger you will need a 10kg or more.
- The program needs to be a normal cotton cycle that is 30 or 40°C with an extra rinse. Adapt the spinning cycle to 900-1000 spins.
- Add some tennis balls into your washing machine to beat against your duvet.
- Use a liquid washing powder gel, to prevent an residue on your duvet. This will prevent any mold.
As simple as that, no need to put it off…
