Colloidal silver: Best ways to use this forgotten natural remedy

5/5 - (1 vote)

Colloidal silver is not very well known, and is often forgotten about, although it was very commonly used in the past. It was used in the place of antibiotics, before they existed (for example, during the First World War). It comes in various forms, and it contains pure water and minuscule silver particles which are what give it its health benefits.

Colloidal silver has multiple uses which have evolved over time. Although it is possible to ingest it to treat diverse ailments such as indigestion, all types of infections or diarrhea, for example, it is banned in certain European countries, which is why you don’t often find it contained in health supplements. Although everyone is free to use and consume it, here we are only dealing with external uses, in order to respect the recommendations of the European Food Safety Authority (rule CE 1170/2009).

1) Treat all sorts of skin problems with colloidal silver

You can apply colloidal silver directly to the skin to treat various skin problems and fungal infections. The silver particles combat bacteria by “deactivating” them, and naturally, this helps heal skin lesions. It is generally recommended to use 1 to 3 sprays 3 or 4 times a day.

Colloidal silver can help with open wounds, burns and friction burns, but it is also commonly used for other problems such as mosquito bites, psoriasis, eczema, acne, allergies, fungal infections, warts, etc. It can also be used for shingles and even for scabies.

2) Wash infected sinuses

You can spray it into your nose to wash out the nostrils. Like a saline solution, it isn’t terribly pleasant to use, but it is effective.

3) Treat vaginal infections

Simple prepare some washing water to which you add 2 teaspoons of colloidal silver, and use it to wash the area.

4) For healing in the mouth

Gargling with this solution can be very effective for inflammation in the mouth or septic illnesses (such as common mouth ulcers or tonsillitis and periodontitis)

5) To soothe conjunctivitis

Put 1 to 3 drops into each eye 2 to 3 times a day, to sooth irritation and inflammation.

6) For ear aches

A little like the previous point, you simply need to put a few drops in your ears for a soothing effect. Use the same dosage as for the eyes.

7) Inhale it

If you are suffering from a toothache, sinusitis, a sore throat or any respiratory infection, this is the technique to try. Use a nebuliser to inhale colloidal silver 5 times per day.

8) For your pets

In the case of parasites, you simply need to put a few drops of colloidal silver on the relevant areas.

It can be used to disinfect a wound on a dog by using a cotton bud that has been soaked in it. For ear infections, put a few drops into the ear every day for around ten days. For the eyes, one drop three times a day should do the trick.

For cats, it is possible to use this product for feline acne, tear stains, yeast infections or skin infections, among others.

9) In the garden

If your plants have been attacked by fungi, bacteria or viruses, you can put some colloidal silver near the base of the plants, by giving them a spray, or watering them with one tablespoon diluted in 250 mls of water.
