What counts as a portion for your five a day?

Every day, we see signs on the street or ads on TV telling us that we need to exercise as well as eat five portions of fruit and veg per day. This seems reasonable, and we often start out with the best intentions to do just that for the sake of our health. 

But sometimes when we go about it, we end up with a number of questions. If I eat a grape, does that count as a fruit? Or the slices of tomatoes in my sandwich? We sincerely doubt that all fruit and vegetables have the same value, and the same goes for all portions. Here are a few suggestions that should give you a better idea of a portion size, and what you need to consume to meet your five a day goal!
