You may well give the screens of your electronic devices a wipe of a cloth every now and again, but the dust always comes back almost immediately. And if that wasn’t enough, it often comes back accompanied by finger marks and unidentifiable stains (and maybe they are better left unidentified!) In order to remove these marks, obviously it is best to use something that isn’t going to damage your electronics -especially given how much they cost.
Of course it is possible to buy a special screen cleaner in a shop, but it is always better to make home-made products to save a little money, and this is what we are proposing in today’s article.
What you need:
- A microfibre cloth that you reserve only for this use (microfibre cloths are the best way to clean a screen).
- A small spray flask
- White vinegar
- Distilled water (contrary to tap water or bottled water, this doesn’t contain minerals and thus doesn’t leave any residue).
Method:
1) Use the cloth to wipe the screen to remove the majority of the dust and dirt.
2) Mix the white vinegar and the distilled water in equal parts in your spray container.
3) Spray the solution directly on to the cloth (rather than on to the screen in case it drips).
4) Gently rub the screen. The white vinegar will really help dissolve the stains.
