The French patisserie brioche is a delicious bread which is rich in flavour and flaky in texture that almost makes it feel like a pastry than a bread, and makes for a delicious snack However it is less appetizing after 24 hours as it drys quickly.  Don’t throw it away, your brioche is waiting for you to make it into something new and yummy!   This is a simple recipe, that only needs a few ingredients and very easy to do, using about half of a left over brioche (around 200 grams):

  • 75 grams of Sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • Milk and/or fromage frais

Method?

1. Cut up the dried brioche into small pieces and place into a cake mould.

2. In a mixing bowl, mix together a little milk, the sugar and eggs.

3. Pour the mixture over the brioche.

4. You can add some more milk or fromage frais until you get the consitancy you want.

 5. If you have a sweet tooth, add some chocolate chunks, fruit or dried raisins..

6. Put in a hot oven at 180°C until it cooks to your liking.

Enjoy!
