We are not big fans of ‘magic remedies’ for losing weight, because we believe that the best solution is to take matters in hand and look after your diet, get exercise or go and see a specialist in order to see if difficulty with losing weight is associated with an illness. Additionally, no remedy will work all on its own, although there are some that can help with burning fat.
This happens to be the case with this tasty infusion. Not only does it help digestion and prevent gas and gastric acid, it is also a diuretic and contains a high number of components that are good for your health, such as vitamins and minerals. The ingredients are also antiseptic and help keep you full for longer between meals. We particularly like the bay leaves which make up this tea, as these regulate the metabolism, help control blood sugar levels and help eliminate toxins, all the while reducing levels of uric acid in the body. Combined with cinnamon, this infusion looks after your liver and your circulation. It activates your metabolism to help it burn fat more rapidly.
What you need:
- 1 litre of water
- 2 sticks of cinnamon (it is better to use cinnamon sticks than ground cinnamon, in order to better maintain its benefits)
- 5 bay leaves
Method:
1) Heat the water.
2) Once the water is boiling, add the bay leaves and the cinnamon.
3) Leave it to simmer for around twenty minutes before taking it off the heat and leaving it to stand for one hour.
4) Strain it and pour it into a glass bottle. You should never leave bay leaves in an infusion or a dish, as they should always be removed before consumption.
Drink this infusion throughout the course of the day. We recommend that you start the day with a cup of this infusion, which you drink on an empty stomach, and then drink one cup after every meal. Repeat two or three times a week in order to make it work best.
