Your eyes might be feeling fragile for numerous reasons: in Springtime or Summer the pollen can cause irritations and working on computers can cause aching eyes at the end of the day. Make-up can aussi cause sensitive eyes and tiredness can increasingly cause discomfort.
There are a number of products available to purchase online to help sooth your sensitive eyes, but some of them can be expensive and aggressive. There does exist however a plant which can radically sooth aching eyes. Blueberry water can be used numerous times a day, application with a cotton wool pad instead of your make-up remover can desensitise your eyes.
You can also make blueberry water yourself, all you need are the following ingredients:
- 1,5 litres of water
- 30g of cleaned Organic dry blueberry leaves
- An opaque glass bottle (so the light doesn’t affect your mixture)
- A strainer or funnel
- A pan
How to do it:
1. Bring the water to the boil in your pan.
2. Remove it from the hob and add your blueberry leaves, leave to infuse for 15 minutes, turning frequently with a spoon.
3. Remove the leaves by straining the water.
4. Keep the mixture in your glass bottle. Keep in the fridge and use within one week.
