How to get grease stains, tar or car oil out of your clothes

5/5 - (1 vote)

After a day playing the mechanic or DIY expert, your clothes are sure to be stained with grease, tar or car oil. Here’s how you can remove the stains:

  • Remove the surplus with a knife or with some kitchen roll.
  • Sprinkle with talcum powder.
  • Leave to work for a few hours.
  • Scrub the stain if needed and brush the powder off.
  • Apply some Savon Noir paste (AKA Moroccan Black Soap) to the stain.
  • Leave to work for a half an hour and put it in the washing machine.

If it’s an old stain, put a sheet of kitchen roll on top of the item of clothing and iron it. Then follow the steps outlined above.
