In prevention of ticks which can hide in your dog or cats fur, place walnut leaves underneath their bedding or rub their coat with it.
If this preventative measure does not suffice and your animal has already been infested by the parasite, don’t try to remove them by pulling them out. A part of the tick will remain in the skin of your animal.
Use a little crochet (from the pharmacy) take the tick and turn it slowly in an anti clockwise direction until it detaches.
Don’t lose time to get rid of your dog or cat’s ticks : the tick is in fact responsible for an often deadly illness called the piroplasmosis. It is better to consecrate several minutes per day, after a outdoors, to check that your animal has not brought a bad souvenir from his walk.
