Improve your quality of life with these 8 morning habits

In order to improve our everyday lives, there are a few healthy habits we should get into doing in the mornings. Sometimes we need to rethink how we are living, to get out of survival mode, and to make the most of our precious time. A healthy lifestyle can help us live longer, happier lives. None of the tips in this article are difficult to do. They appear like things of nothing, but they can however significantly improve your quality of life. Having precise goals can help us move forward every day, and feel fulfilled in our everyday lives. Ready to make a new start? 

1) Get at least 7 hours sleep a night

Sleep is only restorative if we get enough of it. However millions of people are surviving on far too little sleep, and the health repercussions are significant. Insufficient sleep can lead to drowsiness during the day, at work or at school. This leads to reduced physical and mental performance, metabolic disruption, sleep problems, etc.


2) Meditation

It is important to direct your mind towards positive thoughts, and meditating or praying can help with that. Meditation or prayer can help us feel a deep recognition and gratitude for the positive things in our lives. This recognition is a fundamental part of being human.


3) Get regular exercise

Regular physical exercise is essential for a healthy lifestyle. Walking for 30 minutes a day at a moderate pace is the minimum for staying in top form. The risks of depression, anxiety and stress are reduced, and exercise also increases your chances of succeeding in your professional life.


4) Consome 30 grams of protein for breakfast

Your breakfast should contain 30 grams of protein, and it is better to eat in the 30 minutes immediately after waking up. Protein regulates blood sugar levels, which also helps prevent hunger pangs.


5) Take a cold shower

Immersing your body in cold water promotes mental and physical well-being. Cold water produces a natural antioxidant effect in the body, and improves blood circulation.


6) Listen to audio books or read a fast-paced book

Learning never ends, and can lead to euphoric feelings. Take 15 to 30 minutes every morning to read motivating books, which stimulate the mind and teach you how to flourish in your life. If time is a problem, listen to audio books on your way to work, or even stimulating podcasts. A great way to entertain yourself, learn and relax at the same time!


7) Take stock of your goals every morning

Take the time to write your life objectives on a sheet of paper. Read them out loud and don’t lose sight of them. And if you remind yourself of them every day, you will automatically dedicate time to them every day, and without even realising it, soon you will achieve your goals!


8) One small step for you, a giant leap for your life

You should make the most difficult decisions in the mornings, so try to take steps towards one of your long term objectives in the morning. Always start with the most important task, as life is too short not to dare to try!
