Make a healthy syrup to detox your lungs

With all the pollution that surrounds us and the toxic substances we are exposed to, toxins build up that don’t bear thinking about. We can no longer believe that it is only smokers who need to take are of their lungs, or people who are regularly exposed to smoke in their daily lives. As a result, it is important to purify the lungs by ingesting natural substances, which can expel noxious matter and other waste that will help strengthen your lungs and avoid illnesses. This home-made syrup will help clean your lungs and its richness in antioxidant ingredients is good for your cells and organs. Even more interesting, the syrup can stimulate the immune system iin eneral and is great for preventing colds and flues. 

What you need:

  • 1 kg onions
  • 1 litre of water
  • 1 ½ cups of muscovado sugar (300 g)
  • Two spoons of ground turmeric
  • 1 piece of ginger
  • 2 spoons of ground ginger (20 g)

What to do:

1) Peel the onion and chop it into pieces. Grate the ginger.

2) Put the ingredients in a pot with the litre of water. Add the turmeric and the sugar.

3) Bring to the boil and once it is boiling, lower the heat just until the liquid is reduced by half. The mix will have thickened.

4) Allow to stand away fromthe heat until it cools. Pour into a glass jar or pitcher and store it in the fridge.

5) Take two spoons daily on an empty stomach, first thing int he morning and a few hours before eating, until the syrup is finished.

You can do this two or three times a year.
