With the spring and the rising temperatures, one begins to dream of having their bare legs out in a little dress or shorts. But often our sensitive skin can be very sore and the razor burns and irritations can occur. Hence the importance of a good shaving cream that soothes the skin, moisturizes it, but still enables you to shave well. This “recipe” based using organic coconut oil is excellent for this. Moreover, men can use it for shaving their beard, because the ingredients are natural.
What you will need:
- A good razor
- Exfoliated and hydrated skin, ready to be hair free
- 50 g coconut oil. Coconut oil hydrates the skin and prevents irritation.
- Roughly the same amount of aloe vera . This ingredient softens the hair to facilitate hair removal.
- 4 to 6 drops of essential oil of peppermint, tea tree, lavender or a combination of each. Peppermint gives a feeling of freshness that limits the pain, lavender soothes the skin and the tea tree is antiseptic in case of cut.
How to make it:
1)Melt the coconut oil and combine it with essential oils and aloe vera (or conditioner). Stir.
2) Pour your mixture into a plastic bottle.
3)To use, mix the bottle and apply a thin layer on the skin. Leave a few minutes before shaving.
Coconut oil may solidify between uses, do not hesitate to melt the oil by putting the container under water, with the heat of the shower, the oil should melt.
4) Shave and moisturize the skin. You can put aloe vera on afterwards to not to have the small red dots that sometimes appear after waxing.
