Why one must always use two cutting boards in the kitchen

5/5 - (2 votes)

If you are often at the stove to prepare your meal  from starter to dessert, try to always have two cutting boards on hand. One will serve uniquely to cut meat, fish and cheese. The other will serve to cut vegetables.

It is best to use different work surfaces which are consecrated to specific animal products and raw vegetables  due to the presence of possibe listeria bacteria in the soil which can be transferred by a badly washed vegetable. The remnant soil may also contaminate a piece of raw meat or non pasturised cheese.

If you dont have two different cutting boards make sure to wash it thoroughly after cutting your vegetables.
