How to remove rust stains from tiles

5/5 - (1 vote)

Rust stains can often appear out of nowhere. You can find them after moving a piece of furniture, or when you have left objects hanging around without considering that they might rust. In fact, it may never even occur to you that your can of shaving foam could leave a rust stain in the shower, or that a deodorant aerosol spray could rust and leave difficult-to-treat stains after it. And once the stain has made itself apparent, we know it’s going to be a complete pain to remove it. But not with this incredible technique!

What you need:

  • A scouring pad
  • Washing up liquid
  • Coarse salt
  • A half a lemon

Method:

1) Use the scouring pad and the washing up liquid to remove as much of the stain as you can, and rinse.

2) Sprinkle the area with the coarse salt and use the lemon to rub it in.

3) Rub until the stain disappears completely.

4) Wash the area afterwards as normal.
