As consumers we are beginning to stand up and notice what chemicals are used in your cosmetic products: some of which can contain ingredients that are dangerous for our health and the environment. To know which substances you should avoid here is a list of ingredients you need to look out for on the packaging: 

  • Parabens: Allergens, they are suspected of causing fertility disorders and promoting cancer development
  • Methanol: it is authorized as a preservative even though it is classified as a carcinogen (causes cancer). Substances derived from Methanol (formaldehyde) are Glydant (DMDM ​​hydantoin) and Bronopol, to be avoided also.
  • Phthalates: They increase the risk of fertility disorders by accumulating in the skin.
  • Synthetic aluminum salts: they are suspected of promoting the early onset of breast cancer. They are found mostly in deodorants.
