Have you already had “fun” reading the list as long as your arm of ingredients on your industrial cleaning products? It’s enough to send chills up your spine, particularly when you look at the safety warnings and “toxic” icons that decorate the bottles! When you start to look more closely at this information, you generally aren’t long swearing that you will never again use such products. So if you are looking for a good alternative in order to clean your hob, follow these steps to make an incredibly effective cleaning paste.

What you need:

  • 2 spoons of bicarbonate of soda (AKA sodium bicarbonate, or baking soda)
  • Water
  • 3 drops of citrus essential oil
  • A sponge
  • A container

Method:

1) Pour the bicarbonate of soda into a bowl.

2) Add the water little by little, stirring as you go. The goal is to make a paste with the ideal consistency – neither too dry nor too runny.

3) Add the essential oil, stirring the mixture well. This essential oil allows for even more powerful cleaning, and has a a fresh and pleasant fragrance. And your product is ready!

4) Take a small quantity of the product on your sponge, and use it to scrub the hob with care.

5) Don’t forget to put the grills into the sink, and to also scrub them with your paste. Rinse them well with water and also rinse your sponge.

6) Wipe the hob with the sponge to remove the paste, and give a rub of a cloth to dry it if necessary.

7) Put the grills back in place and admire how clean your hob is!
